Mochi Peaks privacy policy
Mochi Peaks is a solitaire game made by Aretebase. This page says what the app does with your information. The short version: no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Three things leave your device: the purchase record needed to deliver what you buy, short notes about play that carry no name or identifier, and your weekly league score under a made-up name.
WHAT THE APP STORES
Your progress, meaning your level, coins, gems, the friends you have unlocked and your settings, is stored on your device and nowhere else, so deleting the app deletes the progress with it. There is no cloud save and no sign-in.
PURCHASES
Coins and gems can be bought inside the app. On iPhone and iPad, Apple takes the payment through your Apple ID the same way it does for any App Store purchase. On Android, Google Play takes it through your Google account. Either way we never see your card. The app uses RevenueCat, a purchase service, to confirm each receipt with Apple or Google Play and hand over the coins you paid for. RevenueCat sees the receipt and an anonymous identifier for your device, never your name, email address or payment details, and its own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
PLAY STATISTICS
To see which levels are too hard and where players give up, the app sends our server short notes about play, such as “level 12 started”, “level 12 won” or “the shop was opened”. Each note also says which app version you have, whether it runs on iPhone, iPad or Android, the date the app was first opened and how many days ago that was. The notes carry no name, account, device identifier or location, so we cannot tell which player sent them. They go to our own server, which runs on Cloudflare, not to an analytics company, and we delete them after 13 months.
WEEKLY LEAGUE
The weekly league puts you in a table with other players. For that, the app makes up a random code the first time it goes online, plus a display name built from one of the game’s characters and a number (for example “Dango 482”). It sends those with your league tier and the coins you won from play that week. Other players in your table see the display name, a character picture and the score, nothing else. Nobody can type a name or send a message. League entries are deleted after about two months.
Like any connection to the internet, talking to our server shows it your IP address. The server uses it only to limit how often one address can call it, and never stores it.
GAME CENTER
Game Center is on iPhone and iPad only. If you are signed in to it, the Daily Challenge can post your score to the Mochi Peaks leaderboard. Apple runs Game Center under its own privacy policy, and you can switch it off in your device settings.
NOTIFICATIONS
The app can remind you about your free daily spin at 10 in the morning and about a streak at risk in the evening. Those reminders are scheduled by the app on your own device, you decide whether to allow them when the game asks, and nothing about them leaves your phone.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
There are no ads in Mochi Peaks and no tracking across other apps or websites. No analytics company or ad network gets any data, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone. The app does not read your location, contacts, photos or anything else on your device.
CHILDREN
Mochi Peaks is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
DELETING YOUR DATA
Your progress lives only on your device, so deleting the app removes it. Play statistics and league entries carry nothing we could match to you, so there is nothing to look up; they are deleted on their own, as described above. To have the purchase record RevenueCat keeps for your device deleted, email hello@aretebase.com with the order number from your Apple or Google Play receipt, so we can find the record, and we will have RevenueCat remove it.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version goes up here with a new date.
